Living with HIV can be a bit of a challenge, so sometimes it helps to meet up with other people who understand how it is, to have a friendly chat over a delicious shared lunch, and develop supportive peer relationships.

We’ve got two weekly groups to help…
 

Mixed Peer Support Group

Monthly Fridays 10.00am – 3.00pm at the Cara W11 Centre – contact Fiona: fiona@caralife.com for more information.
Open for Kensington & Chelsea residents.

This group is open to people living with HIV and offers:

  • Friendly peer support
  • Individual support with staff and volunteers
  • Free condoms, lube and femidoms
  • Information library
  • Occasional workshops
  • Table tennis, snooker, and board games
  • Free lunch served at 1.30pm

African people’s group

Thursdays 11:00am – 3.00pm at the Cara Elephant & Castle SE1 centre – contact Helen: helen@caralife.com for more information.

This user-led group is open to African people living with HIV:

  • Friendly peer support
  • Individual support with staff and volunteers
  • Free lunch served at 1pm
  • Information library
  • Free condoms, lube and femidoms
  • Occasional workshops and social trips
  • Weekly activity programme:
    1st Thursday – Manicures, Pedicures, and beauty treatments with Shereen.
    2nd Thursday – Yoga with Holly 12 noon – 1pm (please wear loose-fitting clothing)
    3rd Thursday – Belly-dancing class with Anne (Planet Egypt) 12 noon – 1pm.
    4th Thursday – Zumba dance class with Liliana 12 noon – 1pm.
