Making life better
for people with HIV…
we’re here to help.

Complementary Therapies.

Our Complementary Therapies aim to help reduce some of the side effects of living with HIV as well as some of the medications we have to take. They can also help with some of the aches and pains associated with getting older – which are often further exacerbated by HIV.

All our therapies are provided qualified and insured therapists. If you are a qualified therapist and would like to volunteer with Cara please click on the volunteering page.

If you want to book a 4 session course or a one-off taster please phone us or email admin@caralife.com.Please also read our cancellation policy at the end of this page.

Yoga

Yoga is a system of body poses that, when practiced correctly, lead to a strong, fit and healthy body and mind. Yoga comes with an endless list of physical and mental benefits. It differs greatly from simply just going to the gym in that you work all parts of the body, not just the big, superficial muscles, but also the heart, lungs and organs – and it can also work on the mind. Learn more about Yoga here.

Available with Holly on the 2nd Thursday of each month 11:30am – 12:30pm, please wear loose clothing.

Cancellation Policy

As therapies are provided by volunteers generously giving their services free of charge, and because they often get booked up months ahead, we have a cancellation policy that we expect everyone to adhere to.

It is our policy that anyone not turning up for a session they’ve booked, or failing to provide 48 hours notice of cancellation, will be unable to book another therapy for a 3 month time-out period.

If you serve 2 Time-out periods your next missed appointment will result in you being unable to book any more therapy sessions.

If you need to cancel an appointment please let us know as soon as you do – don’t leave it until we call or text to remind you of your booking.
